Title: Director of Operations
Location: Waskom, TX / East Chicago, IL / Albertville, AL

Hire Type: Direct Hire

Target Salary: $160,000-200,000
Bonus/ Incentives/ Stock Options: up to 20% annual bonus
Job Summary: Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations across one or more facilities, overseeing production, safety, staffing, scheduling, quality, and financial performance. This role works closely with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Sales, and other teams to resolve issues, improve efficiency, meet production goals, and support customer needs.
Job Duties:
- Lead daily and monthly manufacturing operations to achieve production, efficiency, and customer delivery goals
- Maintain a strong focus on employee safety, including training, equipment, and safety initiatives
- Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to drive continuous improvement and Lean initiatives
- Monitor production efficiency, resource utilization, work assignments, and staffing levels
- Develop and implement operational policies, processes, and long-term capacity plans
- Work with Supply Chain and Purchasing to ensure materials and components are available to support production schedules
- Manage budgets, forecasts, cost control, and capital improvement projects in partnership with Accounting
- Lead hiring, employee development, performance management, and disciplinary processes
- Monitor KPIs and quality metrics, resolve quality issues, and implement corrective actions
- Work with Sales and Customer Service to support existing customers and identify new business opportunities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of broad experience in manufacturing, engineering, production, scheduling, supply chain, quality, or related areas
- Experience in low-volume manufacturing and managing complex business processes
- Proven leadership and people-management experience
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Lean manufacturing and manufacturing quality tools
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and cost control
- Knowledge of production scheduling and workforce planning
- Understanding of HR practices including hiring, employee counseling, payroll, and benefits
