Director of Operations

Milpitas, CA (Onsite)

A rapidly growing global technology and manufacturing organization is seeking a Director of Operations to lead a critical Silicon Valley operation. This is a highly visible leadership role reporting directly to the President and will be responsible for driving operational excellence, strengthening organizational alignment, developing leaders, and helping guide the company through an exciting period of growth fueled by demand in the semiconductor, electronics, and AI markets.

This is more than a traditional operations role. We are looking for a proven site leader who can unite teams, lead change, create accountability, and build a culture of collaboration across manufacturing, quality, warehouse, logistics, and process improvement functions.

What You'll Do

  • Provide overall operational leadership for a large manufacturing facility.

  • Lead and develop a team of managers across multiple operational functions.

  • Drive process improvement, efficiency, quality, and operational performance.

  • Partner closely with executive leadership on site strategy and business objectives.

  • Break down organizational silos and foster cross-functional collaboration.

  • Lead change management initiatives and help drive company growth.

  • Build strong communication channels and ensure alignment throughout the organization.

  • Create and improve SOPs, operational metrics, executive reporting, and business reviews.

  • Coach, mentor, and develop leaders while holding teams accountable for results.

  • Champion employee engagement, safety awareness, and a high-performance culture.

Must-Have Qualifications

10+ years of progressive leadership experience within:

  • Semiconductor

  • Semiconductor testing

  • Electronics manufacturing

  • High-tech manufacturing environments

Experience leading managers and multiple operational functions.

Proven success overseeing:

  • Manufacturing

  • Quality

  • Process Improvement

  • Logistics

  • Warehouse Operations

Strong change management and organizational transformation experience.

Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity, build alignment, and bring teams together around a shared vision.

Experience managing employee performance, coaching leaders, making difficult personnel decisions, and driving accountability.

Strong executive communication skills, including creating:

  • SOPs

  • Executive summaries

  • Presentations

  • Operational reports

Advanced Microsoft Office and Excel skills.

Bachelor's Degree required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree

  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification

  • Engineering leadership experience

  • EHS / Safety experience

  • Experience with capital equipment manufacturing

  • Experience supporting large-scale, complex technical products

  • Exposure to AI, semiconductor, or advanced technology sectors
