Director of Operations

The Operations Director is a senior leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence, developing leaders, and executing the vision of the Operator.

The Operations Director is a senior leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence, developing leaders, and executing the vision of the Operator. This role oversees daily restaurant operations while building high-performance teams rooted in Chick-fil-A’s values, systems, and culture.

Directors at Chick-fil-A lead through Operational Excellence, Servant Leadership, and Results. You will model and implement the CORE 4, Winning Hearts Every Day Strategy, and industry-leading Food Safety standards, while ensuring a guest experience that reflects our brand promise.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations across Drive-Thru, Front of House, and Back of House.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of leaders and 80–100+ team members.
• Drive performance through systems, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure operational excellence in speed of service, order accuracy, cleanliness, and hospitality.
• Lead labor management, food cost stewardship, and profitability strategies.
• Maintain uncompromising Food Safety standards.
• Support leadership development pathways and training plans.
• Foster a positive, high-performance culture.
• Willingness to step into operational roles as needed to support the team.

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of Chick-fil-A leadership experience REQUIRED.
• Proven success in high-volume operations leadership.
• Strong business acumen with data-driven decision-making ability.
• High level of integrity, ownership, and responsibility.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and accountability coaching skills.
• Must be able to work 45–50 hours per week with open availability (Includes occasional Sunday leadership meetings/training sessions)
• ServSafe Certification required (or willing to obtain within 30 days)
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 10 hours.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to multitask and lead in a fast-paced environment
