Position Overview:
The Director of Operations is responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing operating procedures across the
company. The Director of Operations will work closely with executive management to develop long-term operations strategies
to meet company objectives. All activities and initiatives should directly align with and directly support the company mission
and goals. Primary Job Functions
• Business Operations
- Responsible for standardization across business units.
- Develop, implement and maintain current and proposed systems, procedures and methodologies life cycle.
- Maximize efficiency and productivity by establishing strategic operational goals and extensive process analysis coupled with interdepartmental collaboration.
- Develops and leads the Project Management Organization (PMO) and related personnel to achieve quality, consistency, and oversight of project life cycle execution.
- Create a ‘Centre of Excellence’ to nurture project management practitioners and share knowledge of industry best practices.
- Set standards for organization responsibilities including success measurement criteria and grading.
- Collaborate with organization leaders to evaluate, staff, and execute projects and initiatives.
- Collaborate with executive management on process improvement, risk mitigation and goals.
• Personnel Management - Partner with Leadership and Human Resources to build, maintain and support a knowledgeable and diversified workforce through hiring, management, and retention efforts.
- Coordinate and manage employee, organization and company communications.
- Directly manages all PMO department and operational personnel.
- Facilitate and promote employee career development and succession plans.
- Perform employee evaluations including compensation and performance targets for individuals and the team.
Secondary Job Functions: - Business Development initiatives related to vendors, contractors and clients.
- Supports Organization Managers as needed during strategic or high-level sales.
- Supports proposal review efforts as needed.

Requirements - Minimum of 10 years of Manufacturing, Engineering or Industrial Services related experience including 5 years in a senior management position responsible for growth strategies and standardization for service organizations with multiple locations.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. (Electrical, Computer, Chemical or other Engineering discipline preferred). MBA, International Business, or Organizational Management degree would be a plus.
- Proven ability to plan and manage operational process for maximum efficiency and productivity.
- Experience with industry best practices (CSIA) as it relates to business operations, project execution, associated methodologies, techniques, and processes.
- Working knowledge of project financials and metrics.
- Ability to multitask initiatives, goals and deadlines.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Reliable personal transportation with valid liability insurance.
- Fluent in verbal and written English.
- Available for after-hours, weekends and holidays.
- Available for 25-35% travel.
- Ability to bend, stoop, crawl, walk and push, pull and lift 50+lbs for an extended period.
