DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS\n \nJOB DESCRIPTION \n \nI. BACKGROUND: \n \nGraduation from a four-year program with a concentration in business/health care management and a minimum of five years' management experience ( preferably in a health center setting). MBA preferred, but not required. \n \nII. RESPONSIBILITIES : \n \nDevelop, implement, and monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes to provide visibility into the goals, progress, and obstacles of key initiatives. \n \nCollaborate with senior managers in the development of performance goals and long-term operational plans. \n \nPlan, monitor, and analyze key metrics for day-to-day operations to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks. \n \nDevise strategies for ensuring the growth of the health center and implement process improvements to maximize productivity and minimize costs. \n \nSet strategic goals for operational efficiency and increased productivity \n \nAdhere to the company's policies and standards, and ensure that laws and regulations are being followed \n \nWork closely with COO/human Resources to lead the team with integrity and to establish and maintain a trusting, inclusive, and productive environment. \n \nAnalyze current operational processes and performance, recommending solutions for improvement where necessary. \n \nEnsure that staff are cross-trained, and training is maintained and up to date by all staff \n \nVisit satellite clinics on a regular basis to observe patient flow and clinic operations. Make recommendations for changes to the CEO/COO. \n \nCoordinate assessment and needs of computer software for patient management and electronic health records. \n \nWork closely with the CQI team to ensure quality metrics are being met. \n \nPerform all other assigned duties. \n \nIII. JOB FACTORS: \n \nPhysical Requirements: Requires considerable physical effort most of the day. Job requires squatting, kneeling, reaching, twisting, walking and sitting for long periods of time. \n \nMental Requirements: Must be able to make sound judgements based on assessment and data available and act accordingly. Must be able to be flexible, innovative, and work independently. Must possess good interpersonal skills and ability to prioritize multiple functions or tasks. \n \nHours: Must be able to work a flexible work schedule including week days , some weekends, evenings, and holidays if needed.
