Job Description

Provide executive leadership for all operational aspects of commercial construction projects. Oversee Project Managers, Superintendents, and operational staff across multiple project teams. Drive project performance related to safety, quality, schedule, profitability, and client satisfaction. Develop and implement operational strategies, procedures, and performance standards. Monitor project financial performance, forecasting, budgeting, and risk management activities. Lead workforce planning, staffing strategies, and resource allocation decisions. Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to improve operational efficiency. Partner with preconstruction and business development teams to support growth objectives. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, consultants, developers, and industry partners. Provide executive oversight for contract administration, procurement, and project controls. Mentor and develop construction leaders while creating a culture of accountability and excellence. Lead operational reviews and provide strategic reporting to executive leadership. Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and overall project delivery performance. Ensure compliance with company standards, contractual obligations, and safety requirements.

The Successful Applicant

Extensive experience acting in a Director of Operations capacity with a commercial construction general contractor. Proven experience managing both ground-up and interior construction projects. Strong background in healthcare, Class A office, education, institutional, high-rise, or complex and large-scale commercial construction. Demonstrated success leading Project Managers, Superintendents, and field operations teams. Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
