We are seeking a dynamic, experienced and strategic leader to join our team as a Permanent Director of Operations in the Manufacturing industry. This is a critical role that will oversee all operational functions, ensuring our manufacturing processes are running smoothly, efficiently and in compliance with all regulations. You will be responsible for driving productivity, quality, and efficiency across our manufacturing operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the strategic direction of our company, making a significant impact on our operational success.
Responsibilities:
- Direct and coordinate the operations of all manufacturing departments to ensure production meets the required deadlines, standards and cost targets.
- Develop and implement strategic operational goals and monitor the achievement of these goals, making necessary adjustments to processes and strategies as needed.
- Ensure that all manufacturing processes and operations comply with relevant health, safety and environmental regulations and standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, improve quality, and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless production workflow and timely product delivery.
- Develop and manage the operations budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the operations team, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Implement and maintain quality control programs, ensuring products meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Evaluate and manage vendor relationships to ensure consistent supply of necessary materials and equipment.
- Regularly report on operational performance to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior operations role within the manufacturing industry.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and business development.
- Proven track record of managing complex manufacturing operations and driving operational excellence.
- Strong leadership skills with an ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on practical business impact.
- Solid understanding of industry-specific regulations and standards.
- Proficient in relevant manufacturing technologies and systems.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in managing operational budgets.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
