Gateway at River City is looking to add a passionate, dedicated Director of Nursing & Wellness to our team!
The Director of Nursing & Wellness leads the clinical team in delivering quality care and service to residents.
What you''ll be doing to inspire others
- Ensures resident care and wellness needs are met
- Ensures resident medical records are accurate and complete, including monitoring documentation and task completion
- Conducts initial assessment on prospective residents, including off-site visits (I,e, home visits, hospital visits)
- Conducts assessments and develop resident care plans with routine updates
- Captures Integrated Health Care Coordination (IHCC) hours through documentation
- Submits documentation to AAA regarding level of services changes and reconciles level of service discrepancies
- Establishes and manages relationships with third-party relationships and resources
- Maintains spending to established department budget including labor and supplies
- Recruits, trains, schedules, and manages clinical team including LPNs and CNAs
- Coordinates and supervises the community's medication management program
- Communicates with resident's physician(s), other pertinent health care providers, and family as to the ongoing health status of the residents.
- Participates in quality assurance and improvement initiatives
- Reports and resolves of regulatory issues and/or concerns in a timely manner
- Provides health promotion services, disease prevention counseling, and teaching self-care to residents on an as needed basis
- Coordinates the facility's overall infection control program
Your qualifications for success
- High School Diploma AND
- Two (2) or more years of experience as a nurse leader in a senior living environment
- Illinois nurse's license, in good standing, RN preferred
- Valid CPR, TB, and First Aid Certification
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and proof of automobile insurance
- Working knowledge of Illinois Supportive Living Regulations
- Understanding of basic budgeting and financial reporting
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external contacts
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and web proficiency
- Proficiency with Point Click Care, preferred
