Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced nursing leader to oversee clinical care, wellness programming, and day-to-day health services within an assisted living environment. This role is responsible for promoting resident well-being, supporting a high standard of care, and guiding a dedicated team in delivering attentive, person-centered services.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight of nursing and wellness operations within the community.
  • Ensure resident care plans are developed, implemented, and updated to reflect individual needs and preferences.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support nursing and wellness team members to promote strong performance and collaboration.
  • Coordinate with residents, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to support continuity of care.
  • Monitor resident health status, identify changes in condition, and respond appropriately to evolving care needs.
  • Promote compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and quality standards.
  • Oversee medication management processes and clinical documentation practices as required.
  • Support onboarding, training, and ongoing development of team members.
  • Lead initiatives that enhance resident engagement, wellness, and quality of life.
  • Participate in budgeting, staffing, scheduling, and operational planning related to clinical services.

Qualifications

  • Active nursing licensure in good standing, as required by state regulations.
  • Experience in assisted living, senior living, long-term care, or a related healthcare setting.
  • Proven leadership experience in supervising clinical or wellness teams.
  • Strong knowledge of resident care standards, regulatory compliance, and documentation requirements.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead with professionalism, compassion, and sound judgment.
  • Experience collaborating with families, physicians, and interdisciplinary care teams.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a Director-level or supervisory nursing role.
  • Knowledge of assisted living operational best practices and quality improvement processes.
  • Experience supporting resident wellness programs and engagement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records or resident care management systems.
