Description
Are you an experienced Registered Nurse and nursing leader ready for your next opportunity? We’re looking for a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead the clinical team at a skilled nursing and long-term care community in Keysville, VA.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on nursing leader who is passionate about quality care, developing their team, and creating a positive resident experience.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and oversee the nursing department and clinical operations
- Supervise, mentor, and develop nursing staff
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and maintain survey readiness
- Monitor quality measures, infection prevention, documentation, and clinical outcomes
- Collaborate with the Administrator and interdisciplinary team to provide excellent resident care
- Support staffing, scheduling, education, and performance management
- Build strong relationships with residents, families, physicians, and staff
- Help drive clinical quality, employee engagement, and overall nursing excellence
What We’re Looking For:
- Active RN license in Virginia
- Previous DON or ADON experience in skilled nursing/long-term care
- Strong knowledge of SNF clinical operations and regulatory requirements
- Proven leadership and team-building skills
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- A compassionate, resident-focused approach to care
