Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as a Part-Time Director of Nursing (DON) for a basic care facility in Western North Dakota.

This is a hybrid leadership position designed for an RN who is looking for flexibility while still having a meaningful role in resident care, clinical oversight, staff support, and regulatory compliance.

The Director of Nursing will provide nursing leadership and oversight through a combination of scheduled on-site responsibilities and remote administrative work.

Candidates must reside in North Dakota and be available to travel to the facility for required on-site responsibilities.

On-site presence will be required for resident assessments, staff support, clinical needs, meetings, regulatory requirements, and other responsibilities requiring an RN to be physically present.

The specific weekly schedule can be structured collaboratively based on facility needs and candidate availability.

Qualifications

• Must currently reside in the State of North Dakota
• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Dakota or eligibility for North Dakota licensure
• Nursing leadership, long-term care, assisted living, basic care, home health, behavioral health, or similar experience preferred
• Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Excellent documentation and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and provide leadership to direct-care staff
• Comfortable coordinating care with healthcare providers and community partners
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to the facility for required on-site responsibilities

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an RN who enjoys combining clinical nursing, leadership, care coordination, and administrative responsibilities but does not necessarily want a traditional full-time Director of Nursing schedule.
