Job Summary:
We are seeking a RN Director of Nursing to join our team. In this role, you will assist in maintaining a collaborative and efficient workplace with attention to quality standards and policies. In accordance with policies and standards established by the Governing Body, and under the direct supervision of the Administrator, the DON is responsible for the direction, coordination, and supervision of services to include making patient and personnel assignments; coordinating patient care; coordinating referrals; ensuring that patient needs are continually assessed and ensuring the development, implementation, and updates of the individualized plan of care. The DON is responsible for overseeing hiring and development of clinical staff. 

Essential / Primary Responsibilities: 
  • Conduct or oversee clinician orientation, training, skill and performance evaluations, case conferences and in-services as required by agency policies and procedures. 
  • Oversee patient services and clinician efficiency by managing clinician productivity schedules and ensuring compliance in clinician documentation requirements. Develops and/or revises standards that ensure safe and effective services to patients and families. 
  • Establishment/conduction and oversight of the Agencies quality assurance improvement program activities. i.e. Clinical Record Reviews / Patient Chart Audits, Patient Complaint and Grievance investigations and resolutions, Infection Control management and other required compliance logs as specified in agency policy. 
  • Attend and organize/manage applicable quarterly/annual agency committee reports to include Ethics, Safety/Risk, QAPI, CEMP and other required committees.
  • Review and oversight of agency CEMP (Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan) to include annual reviews and revisions of plan, organization of required Disaster Drills and required annual submissions to Department of Health. 
  • Maintain accurate records of patient care and discuss observations with the supervisor  
Competencies / Qualifications:
  • Must possess an associate or bachelor’s degree from an approved and accredited school of Nursing. BSN preferred. 
  • Currently licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in Florida.  
  • Current First aid/CPR certification required 
  • Able to pass AHCA Level II Background Screening
  • Valid driver’s license 
  • Must have experience and knowledge of CMS/Medicare guidelines and COPs
  • Work experience must include 2 years minimum of Home Health experience and at least 1 year of supervisory experience in Home Health. 
  • Must be extremely detail oriented, organized, professional and reliable.This position requires the ability to utilize a PC, multi-line telephone and other related office equipment. 
  • Maintain a positive attitude and willingness to assist all team members.
  • Ability to multi-task with extreme attention to detail.

Compensation: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
