Job Summary: This leadership role manages maternal and child health operations, ensuring safe, high-quality, and efficient patient care. The Nurse Director oversees multiple hospital units, leads nursing teams, partners with physicians and administrators, and directs budgets, compliance, and patient safety initiatives within a 24/7 environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and implementation of patient care delivery systems and practice standards across multiple hospital locations.
  • Develop strategic plans aligned with organizational goals and quality standards.
  • Manage budgets, staffing, and operational performance to achieve clinical and financial targets.
  • Maintain accountability for patient and employee safety and ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee recruitment, selection, and professional development of nursing staff.
  • Build and maintain collaborative networks with physicians, healthcare providers, and partners to ensure optimal care continuity.
  • Direct patient care programs, ensuring resource allocation supports quality and efficiency in a 24/7 environment.
  • Drive continuous improvement and implement best practices for clinical quality, patient outcomes, and operational efficiency.
  • Resolve escalated patient or family concerns regarding care and service delivery.
  • Oversee emergency preparedness programs, ensuring readiness and effective recovery procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to The Joint Commission (TJC), state, and federal compliance standards.
  • Establish and track outcome objectives to evaluate and enhance patient care quality.
  • Provide clinical supervision and maintain necessary licensing and competencies.
  • Drive strategic improvement initiatives across nursing and operations to enhance service delivery, affordability, and performance.
  • Communicate goals, allocate resources effectively, and support staff in achieving operational excellence.
  • Apply evidence-based medicine principles and data-driven decision-making to improve patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in patient care delivery.
  • Minimum 2 years managing operational or project budgets.
  • Minimum 2 years in a leadership role with direct reports.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Registered Nurse (California) license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at hire.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Healthcare industry experience required, specifically in patient care delivery and business operations.
