Director of Nursing (DON)

Pay: $90,000 – $104,000 per year
Location: Madisonville KY

Position Overview

The Director of Nursing oversees all nursing services and ensures residents receive safe, consistent, and compassionate care. You will join a supportive administrative team invested in quality outcomes, staff development, and creating a strong, dependable care environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all nursing services within the skilled nursing facility
  • Maintain the highest standards of clinical quality and resident safety
  • Support, guide, and develop nursing staff and nurse managers
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal longterm care regulations
  • Review incidents promptly and ensure appropriate followup
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
  • Prepare for and participate in state inspections
  • Ensure proper staffing, training, and documentation
  • Serve as a visible, supportive leader focused on care excellence

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
  • Prior DON or ADON experience preferred
  • Skilled nursing/longterm care experience required
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and make sound clinical decisions
  • Commitment to highquality resident care and staff support
