    River Garden Hebrew Home, an award-winning, not-for-profit, five-star nursing and rehabilitation facility located in Jacksonville's beautiful Mandarin area, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our Nursing Services Department.

    Position Summary
    The Director of Nursing is responsible for the overall administration, planning, coordination, and evaluation of all nursing services throughout the community. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership to ensure the highest standards of resident care while maintaining compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
     
    Key Responsibilities
    • Develop, direct, and administer all aspects of Nursing Services
    • Provide oversight of Quality Management and Risk Management programs
    • Ensure compliance with AHCA, Joint Commission, and all other regulatory requirements related to long-term care
    • Lead, mentor, and develop nursing staff, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability
    • Plan, develop, and manage the Nursing Services departmental budget
    • Promote resident-centered care and continuous quality improvement initiatives
    • Collaborate effectively with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, residents, families, and community stakeholders
    Qualifications
    • Current Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Previous leadership experience as a Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, or other senior nursing leadership role in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting
    • Strong knowledge of AHCA regulations, Joint Commission standards, and long-term care compliance requirements
    • Demonstrated success in staff development, quality improvement, and clinical operations management
    • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
    • Budget management experience preferred
