Job Overview: The RN Director of Inpatient Services is a full-time leadership role responsible for overseeing nursing care across Med-Surg, PCU, and ICU, with 24/7 accountability for assigned units. The position supports the Chief Nursing Officer in ensuring high-quality, safe patient care, competent clinical staff, and effective resource management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and operational support to the CNO for inpatient nursing services.
- Assess, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing practices across multiple units.
- Maintain accountability for quality of care, patient safety, and clinical staff competency.
- Manage resources effectively to meet patient care needs.
Required Qualifications:
- Active and current registered nurse license in state of practice.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven leadership and hospital operational expertise.
- Ability to serve as a role model and advocate for nursing excellence.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN).
- Minimum 2 years progressive hospital management experience (Manager, full-time Charge Nurse, or related role).
- Active AHA-BLS.
