Director of Nursing

Position Summary

Our client is seeking a highly qualified Director of Nursing to oversee the daily operations of the Operating Room. This role requires an experienced leader with a strong nursing background, proven supervisory skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will ensure regulatory compliance, manage departmental operations, and support the organization's mission of excellence in healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce departmental policies, procedures, and standards.
• Supervise nursing staff, ensuring optimal workflow and performance.
• Oversee departmental budgeting and fiscal responsibilities.
• Continuously assess and enhance the quality of care and services provided.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet organizational goals.
• Manage timekeeping, supply orders, employee evaluations, and strategic planning.
• Provide clinical support in wound care and hyperbaric therapy when needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Active Arizona Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• At least 3 years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting.
• Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room experience.
• Training in wound care and hyperbaric therapy from a nationally recognized provider (WOCN certification preferred).

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts.
• On-call availability as required.
