Crowne Health Care of Fort Payne is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing team within our long-term care and rehabilitation facility.
We are looking for a strong, compassionate nurse leader who is committed to providing exceptional resident care while creating a positive and supportive environment for employees. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Registered Nurse with demonstrated leadership abilities, strong clinical judgment, and a commitment to quality outcomes, regulatory compliance, and staff development.

Qualifications
- Current Alabama Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Previous nursing leadership or management experience required
- Long-term care experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations governing long-term care
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to effectively lead, motivate, and develop nursing staff
- Must successfully complete required background check and drug screen
Essential Job Functions
- Plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Nursing Department
- Provide leadership and oversight to ensure high-quality, resident-centered care
- Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff while promoting accountability and teamwork
- Ensure nursing services remain in compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations and policies
- Monitor clinical outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives
- Oversee appropriate nursing staffing and assist with recruitment, retention, and staff development
- Collaborate with physicians, residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team
- Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement activities
- Prepare for and participate in state surveys and inspections
- Promote a positive workplace culture focused on excellent resident care and employee success
