Director of Nursing ED

• Lead the strategic operations and clinical workflow of the emergency department, ensuring the team has the resources and direction needed to provide exceptional patient care.
• Create a culture of excellence by mentoring your staff through every stage of their career journey, from hiring and orientation to continuous professional development.
• Drive the clinical success of the department by overseeing patient assessments and care plans, ensuring every patient receives a seamless and compassionate experience.
• Manage departmental resources and budgets to ensure the unit remains sustainable, high-performing, and aligned with organizational goals.
• Champion quality and safety standards by directing internal audits and maintaining a practice environment that exceeds legal and ethical benchmarks.

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
• Master's degree or combination of Bachelor's degree and experience preferred.

Work Experience:

• 5 years of experience required.
• 10 years of experience preferred. 
• 2 years of leadership or management experience required. 
• 5 years of leadership or management experience preferred.

• Experience as a Director of Nursing, DON, or RN Director in the emergency department.
• Experience leading multiple care sites. This role will oversee the emergency department at St. Vincent's Riverside and a freestanding emergency care facility.
