    POSITION OVERVIEW

    We are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead clinical operations within a Continuing Care Center and skilled nursing environment. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring excellence in resident care, regulatory compliance, staff development, budget management, and operational performance while serving as a key member of the administrative leadership team.

    The ideal candidate will have a strong background in long-term care or skilled nursing leadership and a passion for delivering exceptional patient-centered care.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Clinical & Operational Leadership
    • Lead and promote excellence in resident care and clinical outcomes.
    • Oversee daily nursing operations within the Continuing Care Center.
    • Support organizational goals through effective leadership and strategic planning.
    • Ensure high-quality, timely, and courteous services for residents and families.
    Staff Leadership & Development
    • Supervise, mentor, and support nursing leadership and clinical staff.
    • Delegate responsibilities effectively and achieve results through team members.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
    • Support recruitment, retention, training, and staff development initiatives.
    Regulatory Compliance & Quality
    • Ensure compliance with all state and federal healthcare regulations.
    • Maintain readiness for surveys, audits, and accreditation requirements.
    • Monitor quality indicators and implement performance improvement initiatives.
    • Promote patient safety and risk management best practices.
    Financial & Administrative Management
    • Manage departmental budgets and operational expenses.
    • Monitor staffing, productivity, and resource utilization.
    • Participate as an active member of the administrative leadership team.
    • Support strategic planning and organizational objectives.


    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) License.
    • Current CPR Certification.
    • Bachelor's Degree required.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
    • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience as a Nurse Manager.
    • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
    • Experience in skilled nursing facilities (SNF) or long-term care settings.


    PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

    • Director-level experience within skilled nursing or continuing care environments.
    • Budget management and operational oversight experience.
    • Regulatory compliance and survey readiness expertise.
    • Performance improvement and quality management experience.


    IDEAL CANDIDATE

    • Proven nursing leader with long-term care or skilled nursing experience.
    • Strong ability to lead teams and drive positive patient outcomes.
    • Skilled at balancing clinical excellence with operational efficiency.
