    Description

     We are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead the nursing department of our client's Skilled Nursing Facility. The DON is responsible for overseeing all nursing operations, ensuring high-quality resident care, maintaining regulatory compliance, and providing leadership and support to the nursing team.

    Responsibilities
    • Oversee the daily operations of the nursing department.
    • Ensure quality resident care and compliance with CMS, state, and federal regulations.
    • Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
    • Manage staffing, scheduling, hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations.
    • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement resident care plans.
    • Monitor clinical outcomes, infection prevention, quality measures, and risk management initiatives.
    • Lead Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) activities.
    • Prepare for and participate in state surveys and regulatory inspections.
    • Promote a positive work environment focused on resident-centered care and staff development.
     
    Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
    • Previous leadership experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or Long-Term Care (LTC) setting.
    • Strong knowledge of CMS regulations, state survey process, and long-term care operations.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
     
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Previous experience as a Director of Nursing (DON), Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), or Nurse Manager in an SNF/LTC setting.
    • Experience with MDS, PDPM, QAPI, infection prevention, and staff development.
    • BSN preferred; advanced nursing degree or leadership certifications are a plus.
