Momentum is seeking a Director of Nursing & Clinical Services to oversee Momentum's nursing staff, nursing operations, and clinical education. As the Director of Nursing & Clinical Services, you will evaluate and direct all nursing staff, establish goals to meet the organizations needs, while creating and enforcing Momentum and licensing policies.
This position oversees staff throughout the San Fernando Valley and Thousand Oaks area.

Director of Nursing & Clinical ServicesResponsibilities:
Directs and supervises licensed nursing staff in a ICF setting
Provides direct licensed care and support, as needed, to meet operational needs and to maintain current skill and knowledge of care provisions in a ICF setting
Collaborates with Administration to facilitate strong working relationships, to support clinical needs
Onboards and trains new and current nursing staff
Provides ongoing education classes and in-service education
Implements new procedures and training for clinical staff on policies and procedures
Coordinates, updates, evaluates and implements programs to meet regulatory requirements
Organize departmental and discipline-specific needs
Makes assessments to improve quality care of people supported
Reviews and implements treatments and services of each person supported
Makes recommendations for cost and quality strategies, works within budget
Promotes effective parent/family relationships by reporting concerns with a supportive and constructive approach
Provides in-service training in the areas of client health needs, emergency procedures and infection control
Performs other duties assigned to meet department and/or business needs
Education and Experience Required:
Graduate of a Board of Registered Nursing approved school with a current California Registered Nurse's License; required
Minimum Five (5) years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse; required
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in education, teaching, or in-service education; required
Previous supervisory or management experience; required
Previous experience in the care and treatment of individuals with developmental disabilities; preferred
Masters in Nursing; preferred
Additional Qualifications:
Ability to travel to and from different sites
Successfully pass all post offer, pre-employment screening requirements, including criminal background check, drug screening, health screening, TB screening and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
Ability to run, push, pull, bend, squat, kneel, and lift up to fifty (50) pounds
Valid and current proof of legal right to drive in California; required
