Director of Nursing (DON) – Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Nursing (DON) to join the leadership team of a large, high-performing Skilled Nursing Facility in the Chicago area.

This is a 200+ bed facility offering a diverse clinical environment, including:

• Long-Term Care (LTC)
• Memory Care
• Fast-Paced Short-Term Rehabilitation
• Ventilator Services

The ideal candidate is a strong clinical leader who thrives in a large-building setting and can inspire, mentor, and rally nursing teams to achieve exceptional outcomes. You will partner closely with a collaborative and community-focused Administrator who values teamwork, accountability, and resident-centered care.

Key Qualifications

• Proven DON experience in a large skilled nursing facility
• Strong clinical and regulatory knowledge
• Experience managing complex clinical programs, including rehab and ventilator care
• Ability to lead, develop, and retain nursing staff
• Track record of driving quality outcomes and survey success
• Excellent communication and team-building skills
