This role oversees the two (2) departments (Tele/ Neuro, Tele) and as well as Monitor Techs.

Job Summary and Qualifications

  • You will assume 24-hour responsibility for assigned patient care areas and promote professional practice, and coordinate patient care activities in areas of administration, clinical, and human resources
  • This position requires an advanced level of management expertise as demonstrated through leadership, departmental functioning and educational preparation
  • You will encourage and consistently reinforce staff compliance with organizational policies, safety regulations, infection control procedures, ethics and compliance, risk management activities, standard precautions and proper body mechanics
  • You will identify and take responsible steps to ensure compliance with all licensure, certification, accreditation and legislation that regulates and impacts the operations of the department and staff
  • You will meet productivity standards and operate within departmental budget guidelines

What qualifications you will need:
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required
  • BSN required, MSN preferred
  • Valid California RN license required
  • Current CPR Course C required; national RN Certification preferred
  • Minimum 5 years recent experience in acute care/ management preferred
