    The Director of Marketing is responsible for overseeing GMi’s marketing efforts and company-sponsored events. This position must utilize skills including interpersonal skills, project management, goal setting, creative, analytical, and administrative support with the ability to work under pressure.

    Experience:

    ·         Marketing: 3+ years of progressive marketing experience, preferably within commercial construction, architecture, engineering, or a related B2B professional services industry. Demonstrated experience in marketing strategy, brand management, and/or supervision of marketing personnel.

    ·         Event Planning and/or Promotions: 3 years
    ·         AEC industry experience strongly preferred
    ·         BA or BS in Marketing or Business 

    Job Duties & Responsibilities: 

    Marketing & Communications – Assume responsibility for communications to current and future clients, as well as centers of influence. This will include:
     
    ·         Lead GMi’s marketing strategy  
    o   Supervise/oversee all Marketing department employees (if applicable) 
    o   Direct the Executive Leadership team in regard to Marketing efforts and what is needed; say what we need to do. 
    o   Develop, maintain, and monitor the effectiveness of GMi’s marketing strategy
     
    • Create, build, and maintain brand recognition 
    o   Final approval for external content and ultimately responsible for the quality.
    o   Assist the Corporate Director of People & Culture in developing the GMi Swag Store and ensure brand and quality are upheld.
    o   Ensure all branded products are innovative, fresh, and trending.  We want to have the coolest swag out there.  
    o   Your objective is for GMi to be recognized by everyone in our industry.
    o   Work with each local DPC to ensure Promo closets are stocked and a proper inventory is accurate.  Ultimately responsible for this budget.
    o   Work with each DPC in compiling applications for awards and ensure all the branding, photos, and presentations meet our requirements.
     
     
     
     
    • Develop, maximize & maintain industry/GMi connections. 
    o   Office visits to General Contractors, Architects, and Engineers when necessary.
    o   Social Media & LinkedIn 
    o   Take an active role in industry-specific organizations, including ASA, TEXO, etc.
    o   Assist in the Career Fairs for target universities 
    o   Be involved in “The Business” and our people.  There is no meeting you can’t attend, no boundary you cannot cross.  
     
    • GMi website/media
    o   Maintain and update the website so that is up to date with recent projects and accurate information at all times.
    o   Make recommendations to improve and keep fresh to not have to do a major overhaul every 5-10 years.
    o   Oversee all video and photography efforts and ensure we are meeting the quota – including management of the most economical solution.  
    o   Manage LinkedIn and hit quotas for posts and followers set forth by leadership.  Take the initiative for creative and innovative posts.  
    o   Find new mediums to reach our objectives for brand recognition and implement them as you see fit. 
     
    • Event Planning & Management
    o   Spearhead and manage all Client Events, including trips, outings, open houses, industry events, GC events, and anything where customers and GMi will be present.
    o   Ensure we are setting the bar high and have the attention to detail that represents the professionalism and quality we put into our projects.  
    o   Communicate efficiently to Leadership and monitor employee involvement
    o   Encourage all GMi employees to contribute to events and work with Leaders to assign duties.  
    o   Assist any other department in company event planning.  Christmas, PM retreat, anniversary parties, etc.

    Accountability: 


    ·         The Director of Marketing is accountable to GMi’s Vice President of People and Culture.  


    Working Conditions and Physical Effort: 
     
    Work Environment 
    ·         Combination of general office setting.

     

    Physical Demands 
    • Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day. 
     
    Travel
    ·         Travel to meet with clients & satellite offices. 
     
    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
    ·         This is an exempt full-time position. Days of work are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
    Compensation: $95,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
