FULL DESCRIPTION:We are seeking a hands-on and strategic Director of Marketing to own and drive marketing activities for a growing laboratory automation and scientific software organization. This remote role will focus on lead generation, digital presence, campaign performance, content development, events, CRM/lead flow, and sales alignment. The ideal candidate will bring strong B2B marketing experience within life sciences or a related technical market, along with the ability to build processes from the ground up, develop measurable KPIs, and partner closely with sales and commercial leadership.

The selected candidate will be responsible for:
  • Owning and driving the marketing plan and calendar while aligning campaigns with commercial goals and broader marketing strategy
  • Building a scalable, data-driven marketing engine across web, social media, events, digital campaigns, and lead generation activities
  • Driving lead-generating activities across digital channels including website, SEO, paid search, paid and organic social, email marketing, and events
  • Managing the lead management process from campaign setup and tracking through scoring, qualification, and timely handoff of marketing-qualified leads to sales
  • Planning and executing tradeshows, conferences, webinars, partner events, and related promotional activities
  • Managing day-to-day marketing operations including campaign execution, social media activities, vendor coordination, and brand consistency
  • Creating and contributing to high-quality content for pharma, biotech, and advanced research audiences, including web copy, blogs, case stories, email campaigns, presentations, sales collateral, and social media content
  • Monitoring and optimizing web and digital presence, including website structure, landing pages, conversion paths, and SEO best practices
  • Implementing tracking and reporting for marketing activities, including analytics, CRM reports, ROI, funnel health, and campaign performance
  • Partnering closely with sales, product, strategy, and commercial stakeholders to refine messaging, prioritize campaigns, and align target accounts and buyer personas
  • Collaborating with broader marketing teams to leverage shared tools, best practices, and group-wide initiatives while representing the needs of the business
  • Supporting budget planning and management by tracking marketing spend, processing invoices, and ensuring activities remain within allocated budgets
  • Developing core KPIs, reviewing historical data, and building marketing performance benchmarks from the ground up
  • Supporting new product introduction, rebrand, product launch, application-based content, and scientific workflow messaging initiatives

The selected candidate will also possess:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Life Sciences, or a related field required
  • Master's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Life Sciences, or a related field preferred
  • 6+ years of progressive B2B marketing experience, preferably in life sciences, lab automation, scientific software, or related technology sectors
  • Life sciences industry experience required, with an understanding of scientific workflows and technical audiences
  • Demonstrated track record of planning and executing integrated campaigns that generate high-quality, sales-ready leads and measurable pipeline impact
  • Strong hands-on experience with digital marketing, including website management, SEO/SEM, digital campaigns, and social media
  • Experience with content creation, including writing, campaign messaging, and an eye for design
  • Experience with CRM, marketing automation, analytics platforms, dashboards, and funnel metrics
  • Ability to work closely with sales to drive lead generation, lead flow, pipeline development, and campaign performance
  • Experience supporting new product introductions, rebrands, product launches, or application-based content development preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across commercial, product, marketing, and leadership teams
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders in a matrixed environment
  • Ability to be strategic while also being hands-on and operational in a rebuilding or scaling environment
  • Ability to work remotely Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for content creation, customer or partner meetings, company meetings, and industry events

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to regularly work at a computer workstation and access information from a computer
  • Ability to regularly communicate by phone, video meeting, email, and in person as needed
  • Ability to review digital content, websites, marketing reports, dashboards, and written materials for extended periods
  • Ability to occasionally travel for company meetings, customer or partner meetings, content creation, and industry events
  • Ability to occasionally stand, walk, and move throughout event, conference, office, or customer site environments

Salary Range: $140,000 to $170,000/year
