The Endocrine Society promotes breakthroughs in endocrine science and patient care through education, research, and advocacy, uniting a community of 18,000 scientists and clinicians energized by unraveling the mysteries of hormone-related conditions and diseases. As Director of Marketing, you will establish and lead a new level of coordinated, data-driven marketing that strengthens the reach and impact of our programs and services globally, increases revenue, and supports membership and event participation goals.
Reporting to the Chief Communications Officer (CCO), you will develop and mentor a four-person team in a high-volume, service-oriented environment, supporting departments across the Society. You will create and execute a multichannel marketing strategy to promote conferences, meetings and exhibits, membership, journals, products and services, and professional development and education opportunities. As the Society begins using HubSpot CRM more fully, you will draw on market research and audience insights to define segments and design personalized journeys, use marketing automation to deliver targeted communications efficiently, and improve campaign performance based on audience behavior.
Success in this role requires both technical marketing expertise and the ability to serve as a trusted partner to project owners and department leaders. You will help project owners clarify their needs and provide practical, data-informed recommendations that balance their goals with resources and marketing capacity while remaining aligned with the Society’s brand and strategic priorities.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Within your first 1-2 years, you will:
- Help the marketing team make the most of HubSpot’s capabilities to understand what drives engagement and conversion, apply those insights to improve campaign performance, and grow revenue across membership, events, publications, and products and services.
- Establish consultative relationships with leaders across the Society by helping them define the problems they are trying to solve and using research and data to develop marketing solutions that work for everyone.
- Strengthen marketing team planning and workflows to use capacity more effectively, create greater predictability for planned work, and accommodate immediate requests as they arise. Set clear goals and systems of accountability for the team and provide opportunities for professional growth.
- Build stronger market research capabilities within the marketing team by using audience and campaign data, surveys, and research on peer organizations to help teams across the Society improve their products and services.
