OverviewWe are seeking an experienced manufacturing executive to provide leadership across multiple North American production facilities for a leading steel fabrication and industrial manufacturing organization. This role will oversee plant performance, operational strategy, continuous improvement initiatives, and manufacturing standardization across a growing network of facilities.
The Director of Manufacturing will serve as the primary leader for all Plant Managers and play a key role in launching and supporting future manufacturing operations, including a new facilities.
Responsibilities- Provide leadership and oversight for multiple manufacturing facilities throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
- Lead Plant Managers in achieving safety, quality, productivity, delivery, and cost objectives.
- Develop and implement manufacturing strategies that support long-term business growth.
- Standardize operational processes across all locations.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Establish and monitor KPI metrics related to production, labor efficiency, scrap reduction, quality, and on-time delivery.
- Support capital investment projects, automation upgrades, and facility expansions.
- Partner with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Executive Leadership to improve operational performance.
- Assist with startup planning and operational readiness for new manufacturing facilities.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or related field strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of multi-site manufacturing leadership experience.
- Strong background in steel fabrication, metal processing, welding, stamping, or related heavy manufacturing environments.
- Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement experience required.
- Demonstrated ability to lead large production teams and plant leadership groups.
- Experience with automation, robotics, and manufacturing technology initiatives highly preferred.
- Approximately 50% travel (all North American facilities)
