Position Summary The Maintenance Director is responsible for leading the overall operation of the Maintenance Department and ensuring the facility remains safe, functional, and compliant with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. This role plays a vital part in providing a comfortable living environment for our veteran residents and supporting the daily operations of the community. Qualifications Required: - High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience in maintenance, plant operations, or a related field.
- Strong working knowledge of:
- Boilers
- Compressors
- Generators
- HVAC systems
- Electrical systems
- Plumbing systems
- Building maintenance and repairs
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead a maintenance team effectively.
Preferred: - Experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), healthcare setting, or long-term care environment.
- Knowledge of Life Safety Code requirements and regulatory compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities - Plan, organize, direct, and oversee all Maintenance Department operations.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and facility regulations.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.
- Maintain building systems, equipment, and grounds to ensure a safe and comfortable environment.
- Oversee repairs and maintenance related to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and life safety systems.
- Manage department schedules, projects, budgets, and vendor relationships.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address maintenance and safety concerns.
- Support emergency preparedness efforts and respond to facility emergencies as needed.
- Lead, mentor, and develop maintenance staff to ensure high performance and accountability.
