    Director of Maintenance

    Position Summary

    The Director of Maintenance provides leadership and oversight for all aircraft maintenance operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, operational readiness, safety, and aircraft airworthiness. This role manages maintenance personnel, maintenance programs, FAA relationships, training, records, and inspection activities.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Lead and oversee all scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance activities.
    • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, manufacturer requirements, and company maintenance programs.
    • Manage aircraft inspection schedules, maintenance records, deferred maintenance items, and airworthiness requirements.
    • Serve as the primary liaison with the FAA and regulatory authorities.
    • Maintain repair station and training manuals and ensure all required reporting is completed.
    • Develop and oversee maintenance department staffing, training, scheduling, performance management, and succession planning.
    • Coordinate closely with Flight Operations, Quality Assurance, vendors, and maintenance partners.
    • Drive a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
    • Ensure facilities, equipment, materials, and personnel are available to support operational requirements.
    Qualifications

    Required

    • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate.
    • Minimum 7 years of aircraft maintenance experience (10+ years preferred), or 5 years in a Part 145 Repair Station environment.
    • Previous maintenance leadership experience.
    • Experience with Cessna Citation aircraft.
    • Strong knowledge of FAA Parts 91, 135, and 145 regulations.
    • Must meet the qualifications of 14 CFR ยง119.71 for Director of Maintenance.

    Preferred

    • Experience with Corridor Maintenance Tracking Software.
    • Strong background in maintenance planning, recordkeeping, and regulatory compliance.
