    Director of M&A Integration

    Location: Dallas, TX

Compensation: $180,000-$220,000 base salary + bonus

    About the Role

We are partnering with a growing manufacturing company on a Director of M&A Integration opportunity focused on bringing and merging acquired businesses into a coordinated operating structure.

This role will guide integration planning and execution, aligning people, processes, systems, and reporting while protecting ongoing project delivery and customer relationships. The Director will work across functions to turn transaction objectives into practical plans with clear ownership and measurable progress.

The ideal candidate understands that successful integration requires both disciplined execution and trust. They can help teams adopt shared practices while preserving the relationships and capabilities that make an acquired business valuable.

    What You'll Do

    • Develop and manage integration plans, defining workstreams, priorities, decision points, dependencies, and accountability. Coordinate transition readiness and post-close execution with acquired-company leaders and internal stakeholders.
    • Partner with finance, operations, human resources, technology, legal, and other functions to assess integration needs. Translate findings into coordinated action plans that address business continuity, operational risk, and integration priorities.
    • Align construction-related processes such as project reporting, job costing, estimating handoffs, contract administration, procurement, and safety and quality practices. Support consistent visibility into active projects and commitments during the transition.
    • Coordinate systems and data transitions, including reporting, financial systems, and operational tools. Help teams establish reliable information flows without disrupting project execution, payroll, billing, or customer service.
    • Support communication and change management across the combined organization. Clarify responsibilities, identify training needs, and work with leaders to address concerns and maintain employee engagement.
    • Track integration milestones, risks, costs, and expected benefits. Escalate barriers, facilitate decisions, and report progress to leadership. Build repeatable integration tools and capture lessons that improve future transitions.

    What We're Looking For

    • The ideal candidate brings experience leading acquisition integration, business transformation, or complex cross-functional programs. Experience in construction, contracting, or another project-driven environment would be especially relevant.
    • A strong understanding of integration planning, change management, and operational coordination will support success. Familiarity with construction workflows and the interdependencies among project delivery, finance, people, and systems would be valuable.
    • We are looking for someone who can influence across teams, manage competing priorities, and move from high-level planning to detailed execution. Clear communication, sound judgment, and the ability to build trust with acquired-company leaders are central to the role.

    Why This Role Stands Out

This role sits at the intersection of business transition and operational execution. It offers the opportunity to shape how acquired teams, systems, and processes come together while keeping projects moving and preserving important customer relationships.
