Job DescriptionLEAP Academy University Charter School is seeking a highly qualified, passionate, and dedicated Director of Literacy provides district-wide leadership in developing literacy instruction across grades K-12 through coaching. The Director supports supervisors, coaches, teacher leaders, and teachers in ensuring strong vertical articulation, curriculum coherence, benchmark alignment, instructional quality, and improved student outcomes across all schools with a focus on 6-12. The Director leads literacy coaching across the district and supports the development, implementation, and monitoring of curriculum, instructional practices, assessments, and professional learning in ELA. The Director also supports principals, supervisors, and teachers in improving classroom instruction and strengthening literacy outcomes for all students. This role is designed to strengthen alignment across grade levels, support the district's corrective action plan priorities, and strengthen tier 1 literacy instruction across grades K-12. The Director will continue to maintain a direct connection to classroom practice through teacher coaching, walkthroughs, instructional support, and supervision of assigned ELA staff.
