    Were Hiring: Director of Internal Audit (Healthcare)

    Are you a seasoned audit leader with a passion for healthcare compliance, risk management, and continuous improvement? This is an exciting opportunity to step into a Director-level role where you'll provide strategic oversight of the internal audit function and help strengthen governance, compliance, and operational excellence across a healthcare organization.

    What Youll Be Doing

    • Lead and own the Internal Audit Work Plan, ensuring risk-based audit coverage across the organization

    • Plan, execute, and report on operational and regulatory compliance audits, including OIG and Medicaid-related reviews

    • Serve as a key liaison with executive leadership, compliance officers, physicians, and department heads

    • Oversee audits related to medical record documentation, coding accuracy (CPT, ICD-9/10), and billing compliance

    • Prepare and present clear, timely audit reports to executive leadership and finance teams

    • Collaborate closely with Compliance teams on shared audit initiatives

    • Lead, mentor, and develop internal audit staff while promoting accountability and professional growth

    • Drive a culture of ethical practices, transparency, and continuous improvement

    What Were Looking For

    • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field

    • 10+ years of leadership/supervisory experience, with at least 5–7 years in auditing 

    • Strong knowledge of:

      • CMS Guidelines

      • Federal & State healthcare compliance regulations

      • CPT and ICD-9/10 coding

      • Medical terminology and anatomy

    • Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills

    • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively with senior executives

    • High level of integrity, discretion, and attention to detail
