Director of Inside Sales

Compensation: $115,000 - $130,000 Base Salary + Commission

Location: Hunt Valley, MD (Hybrid)

Overview

A growing organization is seeking a Director of Inside Sales to lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team while driving revenue growth and operational excellence. This role will oversee sales strategy execution, forecasting, pipeline management, and team performance within an insurance-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor an Inside Sales team to achieve and exceed revenue goals.
  • Drive accountability through coaching, performance management, and KPI tracking.
  • Own forecasting, pipeline management, and sales reporting.
  • Develop and implement best practices that improve efficiency and conversion rates.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support business growth and enhance the client experience.
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop top sales talent.

Required Qualifications

  • Must have insurance industry experience.
  • 3+ years of inside sales experience, including leadership or management responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated success leading teams and delivering sales results.
  • Strong background in forecasting, pipeline management, and sales analytics.
  • Experience with CRM platforms, preferably Salesforce.
  • Proven ability to coach, motivate, and develop high-performing sales professionals.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Producer License or ability to obtain one within six months preferred.

Work Environment

  • Hybrid schedule: Remote Mondays and Fridays
  • In-office Tuesdays through Thursdays
