Position Overview

Tap Healthcare Solutions is seeking an experienced and results-driven Director of ICU (RN) to lead critical care services in Las Cruces, New Mexico. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Intensive Care Unit, ensuring exceptional patient care, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and staff development.

The Director will work closely with physicians, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes, improve quality metrics, and foster a culture of clinical excellence. This position offers competitive compensation ranging from approximately $120,000 to $150,000 annually based on experience and the opportunity to lead a high-performing critical care team.

Required Qualifications

  • Active New Mexico Registered Nurse (RN) license or active compact RN license with the ability to obtain a New Mexico RN license after hire.
  • Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
  • Previous nursing leadership or management experience required.
  • Critical Care/Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience required.
  • Ability to relocate to the Las Cruces, New Mexico area within 30–45 days of accepting the position.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
  • Experience leading ICU operations in an acute care hospital.
  • Knowledge of quality improvement, regulatory compliance, budgeting, and staffing.
  • Experience driving employee engagement and performance improvement initiatives.
