We're looking for a Director of Housekeeping who can lead with precision, build strong partnerships, and ensure every guest room and public space reflects our commitment to excellence.This is a unique leadership opportunity: our housekeeping services are delivered through a trusted third-party contract partner, and you'll serve as the driving force behind that partnership - holding it accountable for quality, staffing, and performance while shaping the guest experience from behind the scenes.About the RoleAs Director of Housekeeping, you'll oversee all housekeeping and laundry operations, working closely with our contract partner's on-site leadership to ensure guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces consistently meet DoubleTree and Hilton brand standards. You'll manage budgets, inventory, and vendor relationships, while driving a culture of accountability and continuous improvement across every shift.What You'll DoOversee daily housekeeping and laundry operations in partnership with our contract company's on-site managementCommunicate occupancy forecasts, room priorities, and service expectations to ensure appropriate staffingConduct room inspections, public area checks, and back-of-house walkthroughs to ensure 100% compliance with brand cleanliness standardsCoordinate with the Front Office team via the PMS to manage real-time room priorities and VIP needsMonitor real-time guest feedback through the Hilton Stay Experience Platform, turning insights into actionable prioritiesParticipate in daily shift meetings with contract leadership to align on priorities and safety protocolsServe as the hotel's primary point of contact with the housekeeping contract company, monitoring performance against the service agreementDocument service deficiencies and escalate concerns for resolution; conduct regular business reviews covering quality, guest satisfaction, and invoice accuracyManage departmental budget, including contracted labor, linen, amenities, and chemical expensesConduct monthly physical inventories of linen, terry, amenities, and chemicalsOrder and track departmental supplies and manage vendor relationshipsEnsure compliance with OSHA regulations, Safety Data Sheets, and bloodborne pathogen standardsSubmit and track maintenance work orders for room damages and deep-cleaning needsAdminister the lost-and-found program and ensure proper key control procedures are followedWhat We're Looking ForProven experience in hotel housekeeping leadership, ideally with experience managing third-party contract laborStrong vendor/contract management skills, with the ability to hold partners accountable to service standardsBudget management experience, including invoice reconciliation and cost controlWorking knowledge of Property Management Systems (PMS)Familiarity with OSHA regulations and workplace safety standardsStrong attention to detail and a commitment to brand and cleanliness standardsAbility to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the property for extended periods (up to 8 hours)Ability to lift/move up to 30 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionallyAbility to push/pull housekeeping and laundry cartsFlexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as required by hotel operationsThe annual salary range is $85,000 - $100,000.  At Palette Hotels, we are dedicated to creating and sustaining meaningful hospitality careers for our associates.
