    Job Description

Aramark Nexus is hiring a Director of Hospitality Operations to lead the resident hospitality experience for a new, large-scale workforce community near Hereford, Texas, within driving distance of both Hereford and Amarillo.

This is a senior hospitality leadership opportunity for an experienced Hospitality Director, Director of Hotel Operations, Hotel Operations Director, Director of Rooms, Resort Operations Director, Hospitality General Manager, or senior lodging leader who has successfully managed multiple departments within a large hospitality or residential operation.

Reporting to the Vice President and Managing Director, the Director of Hospitality Operations will provide overall leadership for Guest Services, Housekeeping, and Recreation. This leader will oversee the department heads responsible for each function and ensure residents receive a consistent, professional, and high-quality experience throughout the community.

This is not a single-department hospitality role. We are looking for a leader with broad experience across front desk and guest services, housekeeping and room operations, recreation and amenities, resident services, staffing, service standards, and hospitality operations. The successful candidate will know how to lead other leaders, establish standards across departments, and create one connected resident experience.

The environment will operate around the clock and will support a large population of residents who live, dine, relax, and receive services on site. Strong candidates may come from large hotels, resorts, cruise lines, extended-stay operations, destination properties, residential communities, or other high-volume hospitality environments.

This is an opportunity to help build the hospitality operation from the ground up while creating the service culture, leadership structure, and operating standards that will define the resident experience.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Provide overall leadership for Guest Services, Housekeeping, and Recreation, ensuring each department delivers a consistent and high-quality resident experience.
    • Lead, coach, and develop department heads, including the Guest Services Manager, Housekeeping Director, Recreation Manager, and their respective leadership teams.
    • Establish hospitality standards across front desk operations, resident services, room cleanliness, housing readiness, recreation, amenities, and community programming.
    • Create strong coordination between Guest Services and Housekeeping to support resident arrivals, departures, room readiness, service requests, and changing occupancy levels.
    • Oversee staffing strategies, schedules, leadership coverage, training, and performance management across hospitality departments supporting a 24/7 operation.
    • Monitor resident satisfaction, guest feedback, service recovery, housekeeping quality, operational performance, and other hospitality metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Develop operating procedures, service expectations, communication standards, and accountability measures that create a consistent experience throughout the community.
    • Partner with Food & Beverage, Facilities, Security, Safety, Human Resources, and other site leaders to resolve resident needs and maintain a well-run community.
    • Manage departmental budgets, labor performance, operating expenses, supplies, and other financial measures across hospitality functions.
    • Support high-volume resident arrivals, departures, occupancy changes, special events, recreation programming, and other operational demands.
    • Serve as a visible hospitality leader throughout the community, regularly engaging with residents and employees and responding to escalated service concerns.
    • Build a hospitality culture centered on service, responsiveness, cleanliness, professionalism, teamwork, safety, and resident satisfaction.

At Aramark, developing new skills and doing what it takes to get the job done make a positive impact for our employees and our customers. In order to meet our commitments, job duties may change or new ones may be assigned without formal notice.

    Qualifications

    • Requires significant progressive leadership experience in hotel operations, hospitality management, resort operations, lodging, cruise operations, residential hospitality, or a related environment.
    • Previous experience as a Director of Hospitality, Director of Hotel Operations, Director of Rooms, Hotel General Manager, Resort Operations Director, Hospitality General Manager, or similar senior hospitality leader is strongly preferred.
    • Demonstrated experience leading multiple hospitality departments, rather than a single functional area, is required.
    • Strong experience with hotel or residential front desk operations, guest services, housekeeping, room operations, and resident or guest experience is highly valued.
    • Experience leading managers and department heads responsible for large hourly workforces.
    • Experience supporting a large hotel, resort, cruise ship, residential community, extended-stay operation, or other complex 24/7 hospitality environment is strongly preferred.
    • Demonstrated ability to establish service standards, improve guest satisfaction, manage service recovery, and create accountability across multiple departments.
    • Strong understanding of hospitality labor management, scheduling, budgeting, productivity, and operational performance.
    • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Business, or a related field preferred. Equivalent senior-level hospitality experience will also be considered.
    • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work effectively across multiple operational departments and communicate with senior leadership, employees, residents, vendors, and other stakeholders.
    • Schedule flexibility is required and may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and after-hours leadership support for a 24/7 residential operation.
