Job Summary: We are seeking a Director of Security Services to lead a team of over 200 plus security professionals, including Security Officers, Dispatchers, and Ambassadors. This role offers a unique opportunity to oversee system-wide security operations with dynamic teams built on camaraderie and trust. As security team member you serve a crucial role of the first point of contact for many staff, patients, families, and visitors, ensuring safety across all Community campuses.
In this role, you will:
- Utilize your leadership and influencing skills to guide the strategic direction of the department.
- Promote a philosophy of collaboration and de-escalation within the team.
- Make informed business decisions that align with the organization's mission, vision, and goals.
Basic Qualifications:
Education and Experience :
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, or a Healthcare-related field.
- A minimum of 7 years of managerial or supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of healthcare security, program development principles, and managerial techniques.
- Proficiency in healthcare security and program development principles, techniques, and managerial skills.
Licenses and Certifications :
- Valid California Driver's License with a driving record acceptable to Community Health System.
- Certification as a Healthcare Protection Administrator, issued by the International Association of Healthcare Safety and Security (IAHSS), within one year of hire.
- State of California Guard Card within one year of hire.
