    Description

    The Director of Government will report to the Chief Operating Office (COO) and will provide strategic leadership for Fenstermaker s Government group, overseeing operations, project delivery, financial performance, and team development across Transportation, Utilities, Site/Civil, Government Survey, and Coastal service lines. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring exceptional service delivery, and building high-performing teams while partnering with the Chief Engineer, Business Development, Project Managers, and Executive Leadership to support client success and sustainable growth. The Director serves as a key leader in executing the group s strategic objectives. The Director of Government will be a champion and leader of our company's core values while maintaining internal and external customer engagement and satisfaction.

    Some responsibilities include:

    • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
    • Direct day-to-day operations to ensure efficient, consistent, and high-quality service delivery.
    • Partner with other division leaders to plan resources, balance workloads, and meet project priorities.
    • Drive operational excellence through effective staffing, utilization management, process improvement, and performance metrics.
    • Support budgeting, forecasting, profitability, and operational performance.
    • Maintain involvement in project management, technical leadership, and client coordination as appropriate.
    • Build and strengthen client relationships while supporting business development and strategic growth initiatives.
    • Promote quality, risk management, and compliance with company standards and best practices.
