Role Summary
We are seeking a Director of FP&A to lead financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and strategic finance initiatives across a growing multi-location organization. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, providing insights and recommendations that drive profitability, operational efficiency, and informed decision making.
The Director of FP&A will play a critical role in building scalable reporting processes, developing business intelligence capabilities, enhancing forecasting accuracy, and supporting strategic growth initiatives. This position offers significant visibility with executive leadership and private equity stakeholders while helping establish the finance function for the company's next stage of growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-range financial planning activities
Develop scalable FP&A processes, reporting frameworks, and KPI dashboards
Prepare monthly and quarterly executive reporting packages including variance analysis and performance insights
Build and maintain financial models, scenario analyses, and sensitivity analyses to support strategic decisions
Partner with operational leaders to evaluate profitability, productivity, pricing, and key business drivers
Support cash forecasting, working capital management, and financial performance monitoring
Assist with acquisition analysis, financial due diligence, integration planning, and synergy tracking
Collaborate with accounting teams to ensure alignment between financial reporting and operational performance
Partner with technology and systems teams to improve business intelligence capabilities, reporting automation, and data quality
Prepare board-level presentations and private equity reporting packages for executive leadership
Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
7+ years of progressive FP&A, strategic finance, or corporate finance experience
Experience within private equity-backed organizations strongly preferred
Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and performance analytics
Experience supporting executive leadership, boards, and private equity stakeholders
Advanced Excel and financial modeling capabilities
Experience with ERP platforms such as Sage Intacct, NetSuite, Dynamics, or similar systems
Experience with business intelligence tools, dashboards, and reporting automation initiatives
Understanding of job costing, unit economics, operational KPIs, and service-based business models
Exposure to acquisitions, multi-entity environments, or integration activities preferred
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and growth-oriented environment
Preferred Skills
Director-level FP&A or Strategic Finance experience
Experience supporting private equity portfolio companies
Experience within field services, construction, infrastructure, or multi-location business models
Exposure to multi-entity consolidations and acquisition integrations
MBA, CFA, or advanced finance credentials preferred
