    PRIMARY PURPOSE:

    Leads the District's budget, treasury, and debt management functions to ensure fiscal integrity, regulatory compliance, and effective stewardship of financial resources. Partners with the Chief Financial Officer to advance strategic initiatives, strengthen financial systems and internal controls, and drive operational excellence through process and technology improvements.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education:

    Bachelor's in accounting or business-related field required

    Master's or CPA preferred

    TASBO Certification preferred

    Special Knowledge/Skills:

    Extensive knowledge of governmental accounting, public school finance, and TEA Financial Accountability Systems Resource Guide (FASRG).

    Proficiency with MUNIS, Microsoft Excel, and financial technology systems.

    Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.

    Ability to interpret financial data, policies, and regulations to support strategic decision-making

    Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, lead projects, and meet deadlines

    Experience:

    Three-five years' successful administrative experience in public school accounting, auditing, or other governmental accounting
