Kforce has a client that is seeking a Director of Finance in New York, NY. Summary: We are seeking an experienced Director of Finance to lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and business performance management across the organization. This role serves as a strategic partner to executive leadership and department heads, providing financial insight, decision support, and performance analysis that drive business objectives and long-term growth. The ideal candidate combines strong financial leadership, analytical expertise, and business acumen with the ability to influence stakeholders and lead high-performing teams. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes
  • Develop and monitor financial models, budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics
  • Partner with department leaders to align financial plans with business objectives and operational strategies
  • Analyze financial performance, identify trends and variances, and provide actionable recommendations
  • Prepare and present financial reports, dashboards, and executive-level presentations to senior leadership
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop metrics that support organizational decision-making
  • Provide strategic financial guidance on investments, operational initiatives, and business opportunities
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial review processes
  • Lead financial analysis, scenario modeling, and business planning initiatives
  • Drive process improvements, automation efforts, and reporting enhancements
  • Implement and oversee FP&A tools, financial reporting systems, and planning applications
  • Lead, mentor, and develop finance team members while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with Accounting, Operations, and executive leadership to support organizational goals

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
  • 6+ years of progressive finance, FP&A, corporate finance, or business analysis experience
  • Prior leadership, supervisory, or team management experience
  • Experience partnering with senior executives and department leaders
  • Experience presenting financial information and recommendations to leadership
  • Strong financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis skills
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial reporting skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA, CPA, CMA, or other relevant professional certification
  • Experience with FP&A systems, budgeting tools, and reporting platforms
  • Experience implementing process improvements and automation initiatives
  • Knowledge of business intelligence, dashboarding, and data analytics tools
  • Experience in media, entertainment, technology, or high-growth organizations
  • Spanish language proficiency

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
