Role Overview
The Director of Finance will serve as the senior-most finance leader for a new multi-site platform and will oversee operational finance (AP, AR, payroll, cash management, etc.), M&A underwriting/diligence and FP&A/reporting across the platform.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a high-growth environment and can help build scalable infrastructure and teams while supporting acquisitions, reporting, and operational execution.
Key Responsibilities
• Acquisitions & Dispositions: Lead and coordinate with internal/external teams on financial underwriting and financial due diligence on acquisition/sale opportunities, and support deal structuring and post-close integration
• Operational Finance & Strategy: Partner cross-functionally with operations, HR, marketing, and other business leaders to align financial performance with company goals. This includes pricing strategy, employee compensation planning, demand forecasting, and other operational decisions to support growth and margin performance
• Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead and manage the FP&A function, including budgeting, KPI development, management reporting, and executive dashboards
• Accounting & Financial Operations: Oversee and lead all accounting functions, financial statement preparation, and internal controls, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable/billing across all payor types, as well as payroll processing and tax filings including IRS communications.
• Cash Management & Forecasting: Direct treasury and cash management functions, including short/long-term financial forecasting, liquidity planning, and working capital optimization.
• Investor & Lender Reporting; Prepare and deliver timely and accurate reporting packages to investors and lenders, including covenant compliance and other required reporting
Candidate Profile
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
• MBA and/or CFA/CPA preferred
• 5+ years of progressive finance leadership experience
• Prior Director/VP Finance or senior finance leadership experience
• Strong FP&A, operational finance, cash management, and reporting experience
• Experience in multi-site, private equity-backed, founder-led, or high-growth businesses preferred
• M&A and integration experience strongly preferred
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
• Strong leadership, communication, and execution skills
Preferred Background
• Experience supporting multi-site education, healthcare, services, or field operations environments is strongly preferred
• Direct experience handling AP, AR, cash management, payroll, FP&A, and other operational finance functions
• M&A, integration, and transaction experience preferred
• Experience leading finance transformation or ERP implementation initiatives is a plus
