Director of Finance | 100% REMOTE | $150,000–$180,000
If you’re an experienced nonprofit finance leader who wants broad ownership across accounting, budgeting, grants, compliance, and financial operations, this is an opportunity to step into a highly visible leadership role with a national nonprofit organization.
Location: 100% Remote
Schedule: Eastern Time business hours
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead the organization’s accounting and finance functions, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and operational finance
- Oversee the annual audit process and ensure strong financial controls and compliance
- Manage grant accounting, reporting, and related compliance requirements
- Partner with leadership on financial planning, forecasting, and long-term decision-making
- Provide financial oversight across a nonprofit organization with an annual budget in the $10M–$20M range
- Support the financial operations of a pass-through nonprofit environment
- Improve financial processes, reporting, and overall visibility across the organization
Who We’re Looking For
- 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
- Significant experience working within the nonprofit sector
- Experience supporting or leading finance for a nonprofit with a $10M–$20M annual budget
- Strong budgeting, forecasting, audit, and financial reporting experience
- Hands-on grant accounting and compliance experience
- Experience with nonprofit operational and financial oversight
- CPA strongly preferred
- Ability to work primarily during Eastern Time business hours
Compensation
- $150,000–$180,000 base salary
- 100% remote opportunity
