    Organization's Summary Statement:
    The Director of Finance serves as a key strategic financial leader for the School of Public Policy and partners with the Assistant Dean for Finance and Administration to provide strategic oversight of the School’s financial and administrative operations. These include research, academic programs, executive and entrepreneurial programs, and affiliated centers.

    The Director is responsible for overseeing the daily fiscal operations of the Dean’s Office, Centers, and the Office of Executive Programs, including payroll, procurement, reimbursements, travel, and sponsored research administration across all funding sources. This role ensures strong internal controls and compliance, while providing financial oversight and coordination for the School’s centers and institutes, ensuring alignment with policies, budgets, and reporting requirements.

    The Director supervises four full-time staff members and reports to the Assistant Dean for Finance and Administration.


    Preferences: Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or Accounting

    Minimum Qualifications

    Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

    Experience: Ten (10) years of professional accounting or finance experience. Five (5) years of experience supervising or managing professional staff.
    Knowledge of finance functions including general accounting, statistical, or financial functions.
    Knowledge of business acumen to understand key business drivers, organizational communications, and data.
    Skill in oral and written communication.
    Skill in data analytics and negotiation.
    Skill in the use of Microsoft Office products.
    Ability to research information and analyze complex data and information to create reports and presentations.
    Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion.
    Ability to develop and administer new policies and procedures.
