Reporting To: Head of Family Office

Job Objective: The Director of a Family Office Services plays a strategic leadership role in overseeing the delivery of comprehensive wealth management and family office services to ultra-high-net-worth and high-net worth families. This individual is responsible for coordinating across investment advisory, tax planning, estate planning, philanthropic strategy, and lifestyle management to ensure each family's needs are met with a high degree of professionalism and discretion. Key responsibilities include:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to client families, overseeing and integrating all aspects of their financial and personal affairs.
  • Manage and lead a multidisciplinary team including investment professionals, tax and legal advisors, and client service staff.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring proactive communication, customized service, and long-term relationship building.
  • Develop and implement tailored wealth management strategies, including investment oversight, estate planning, risk management, and generational wealth transfer.
  • Oversee operations related to accounting, reporting, and compliance to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Coordinate with external advisors (e.g., attorneys, CPAs, investment managers) to ensure all aspects of a client’s financial plan are aligned.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, scalability, and client satisfaction.
  • Drive business development efforts through referrals, networking, and maintaining an excellent reputation within the UHNW space.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (JD, MBA, CPA, or CFP) preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in wealth management, private banking, or a multi-family office environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex client relationships and multi-generational planning.
  • Strong leadership, project management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Deep understanding of investment strategies, estate planning, tax structuring, and family governance.
  • High level of discretion, integrity, and a client-first mindset.

We anticipate the base salary range for this position to be approximately $200,000-250,000 USD. The actual base compensation offered will be determined by various factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant years of experience, career progression, qualifications, educational background, certifications or professional licenses, and role-specific skills. Base salary represents one element of Silvercrest’s comprehensive compensation package, which also includes robust benefits and may include incentive-based compensation.
