Description

Job Summary:
  • Lead all aspects of facilities and building operations to ensure safety, compliance, and efficiency.
  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
  • Manage capital projects, renovations, and infrastructure improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, OSHA, NFPA, and other regulatory standards.
  • Supervise and develop a multidisciplinary team of technicians and staff.
  • Collaborate with hospital leadership and contractors to support patient care and operations.
  • Maintain emergency preparedness and hospital safety initiatives.
  • Promote sustainability and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
  • Direct daily operations for building maintenance, systems reliability, and infrastructure support.
  • Manage HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and utility services.
  • Oversee hiring, training, and performance of facilities staff.
  • Coordinate with administration to meet operational and patient care goals.
  • Review and update compliance readiness for audits and inspections.
  • Support other operational services when needed (e.g., grounds, laundry, security, inventory).
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field (preferred; equivalent experience considered).
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare facilities management.
  • Minimum 5 years of management and functional experience.
  • Strong knowledge of The Joint Commission, OSHA, NFPA, and other regulatory standards.
  • Experience managing capital projects and vendor relationships.
  • CHFM certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
