Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Director of Emergency Services leads a team of approximately 100 staff, including two managers, across a high-performing emergency department averaging 136 patient visits per day.

A 370-bed regional medical center in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Director of Emergency Services. The facility operates a 29-bed emergency department — with expansion plans underway — that serves a volume of approximately 50, 000 visits annually, and holds Chest Pain Center accreditation and Level 4 Trauma designation.

The role. Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Director of Emergency Services leads a team of approximately 100 staff, including two managers, across a high-performing emergency department averaging 136 patient visits per day. The director drives clinical quality by identifying and implementing evidence-based practices that advance patient safety outcomes, managing clinical practice variation to improve efficiency, and ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory standards. A significant focus of this role is optimizing patient throughput through volume forecasting, patient flow coordination, and discharge planning, while fostering interdisciplinary collaboration across departments. Compensation. $145, 000 - $160, 000 per year plus Sign-on bonus available
