Required Skills:
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing and licensed by the NC Board of Nursing (RN license required).
- BSN degree required.
- Minimum of 5 years of hospital emergency department experience.
- At least 2 years of leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of nursing practices, laws, regulations, and guidelines relevant to hospital and ED operations.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with departmental process improvements and organizational projects.
- Background in fiscal oversight and budget management.
- Proven ability to develop staff training and clinical growth programs.
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) required; relevant advanced certifications a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership in hospital emergency departments for a minimum of 2 years.
- Knowledge of current best practices and innovations in emergency nursing.
Other Requirements:
- NC RN license required.
- Flexibility to assist with shifts, including on-call or extended hours as needed.
- Ability to work days (most likely 8a-4:30p) with occasional off-hour requirements for patient and department needs.
- Willingness to participate in virtual and onsite interviews.
