Director of Emergency Department

We are partnered with a wonderful organization seeking a Director of Emergency Services who will provide strategic, clinical, and operational leadership for the Emergency Department. This role oversees departmental operations, staffing, financial performance, quality outcomes, regulatory compliance, and service line growth while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. This is a full time, salaried and benefited role. 

Work Schedule:

Full-time days, no weekends

What you will be doing:

• Provide executive oversight of Emergency Department operations
• Ensure safe, evidence-based, patient-centered care
• Develop and implement departmental policies and clinical standards
• Optimize patient throughput, staffing, and operational efficiency
• Lead quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
• Ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance
• Champion patient experience initiatives
• Recruit, mentor, and develop nursing leaders and staff
• Partner with physicians and executive leadership on strategic growth
• Manage departmental budgets, labor, productivity, supplies, and capital resources

What is required:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Master's degree preferred
• Current RN license in the applicable state or multi-state compact license
• Emergency Department Nursing experience
• Minimum three (3) years of trauma nursing leadership experience
• Minimum of 5 years of ER RN work experience in an inpatient acute hospital setting
